Reset an app's privacy permissions on your Mac
Sometimes an app is switched on in Privacy & Security but still can't use the camera, microphone or screen, often after an update. Reset Permissions clears that app's record with macOS's tccutil so the system asks again the next time the app needs access. You can reset one permission or all of them for the app.

How to use Reset Permissions
Open Reset Permissions and click Choose App to pick the app.
Choose the permission to reset, such as Screen Recording, Microphone or All.
Reset it, then quit and reopen the app.
Allow access when macOS asks, or click Open Settings to turn it on.
Questions about Reset Permissions
Why does Screen Recording permission keep not working on Mac?
The permission can get out of sync after an app updates or is reinstalled. Resetting it for that app and granting it again usually fixes the problem.
How do I reset camera and microphone permissions on a Mac?
In Terminal, tccutil reset Camera followed by the app's bundle ID does it. Reset Permissions runs the same reset for the app you choose without typing commands.
Will resetting permissions delete my app data?
No. It only clears the privacy decision for that app. Your files and settings stay as they are.
Which permissions can I reset?
Screen Recording, Microphone, Camera, Accessibility, Input Monitoring, Full Disk Access, Automation, Photos, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, Downloads, Desktop, Documents, Bluetooth, or all of them at once.
