Resize Videos to an Exact Size on Your Mac
Resize Video changes the width and height of videos to a preset like 4K, 1080p, 720p, 480p, square or vertical, or to any custom size. When you keep the aspect ratio, you choose whether to fit within the size, add black bars, or crop to fill the frame. You can resize a whole folder of clips in one go.

Open Resize Video and drop one or more videos.
Pick a size preset or choose Custom and type a width and height.
Keep aspect ratio on and choose Fit within size, Add black bars or Crop to fill, or turn it off to stretch.

Questions about Resize Video
How do I change the resolution of a video on Mac?
Drop the video into Resize Video, pick a preset such as 1080p or 720p, and click Resize. The resized copy goes to a new folder in Downloads.
How do I make a vertical video for Reels or Shorts?
Choose the Vertical preset and Crop to fill to fill the frame, or Add black bars to keep the whole picture visible.
Why did my custom size change slightly?
Video encoders need even dimensions, so odd sizes are rounded down to the nearest even number.
