Presentation Mode cleans up your Mac before you share your screen or give a demo. It can hide desktop icons, hide the Dock and keep the Mac and display awake, then put everything back when you turn it off. To silence notifications, it can run a Shortcut that turns on a Focus.

How to use Presentation Mode
Open Presentation Mode and choose what happens when it's on.
Optionally pick a Shortcut to run when turning on and off, such as one that sets a Focus.
Turn Presentation Mode on before your call or talk.
Turn it off afterward to restore your icons, Dock and sleep settings.
Questions about Presentation Mode
How do I hide desktop icons on a Mac?
There is no simple switch in System Settings, but a Terminal command can hide them. Presentation Mode does it with a toggle and shows them again when you turn it off.
How do I turn off notifications while sharing my screen?
macOS can turn on a Focus when you mirror or share your screen, set in Focus settings. You can also create a Shortcut that sets a Focus and have Presentation Mode run it.
Why does Presentation Mode ask for Automation permission?
Running your Shortcuts needs permission from macOS. You can grant it in System Settings under Privacy & Security, Automation.
