Questions about Clean Keyboard

How do I clean my MacBook keyboard without turning it off?

Lock the keyboard with Clean Keyboard, then wipe the keys with a soft, lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water. Don't spray liquid directly on the keyboard.

Why does Clean Keyboard need Accessibility access?

macOS only lets apps block key presses with Accessibility permission. Toolbox uses it to ignore keys during the timer and nothing else.

Can I stop the keyboard lock early?

Yes. The mouse and trackpad keep working, so click Done on screen. The power button and Touch ID can't be paused, so avoid pressing them while you clean.
